in the workshop ‘enlightenment guaranteed–design your light fixture’ students generated paper models for playful light fixtures based on observation in the botanical garden. for part one of their process, students transferred 2d design patterns into 3d, and conversely, from 3d to 2d. for part two students turned these patterns into 3d light fixtures. for part three, they investigated laser-cutting techniques and applied their knowledge to their final products.
